The Jackson Big Rig performs like a kayak with the stability of a boat. Performs well anywhere you go - lakes, rivers, in-shore bays or marches, and ponds. The Big Rig features Jackson's new Ergo Seat that offers more lumber support, more storage spots, and a more breathable mesh fabric; allowing for comfort for many hours. The Big Rig is one of the few Jackson kayaks that comes with a retractable casting bar. You can pull it up and use it for additional support, using its paddle stager to hold your paddle while casting, or lock it down in place and out of the way. The rod troughs on each side of the kayak keep your rods protected and out of the way without compromising on space. It is power pole ready and has the standard gear tracks and RAM/GoPro inserts that are found on most Jackson kayaks. This kayak is truly a fisherman's best friend.
I recently purchased a 2017 Jackson Big Rig kayak in the Rockfish color. This is my first sit-on-top kayak so, this type is new to me. I purchased this to replace a sit-inside that I bought from one of those big box takle stores and I have to tell you that there is a world of difference. Fist, I must say this kayak is WIDE and STABLE. It does take a couple extra strokes to get it moving but, once you get it moving, it tracks well and moves with little effort although I did have to change my stroke a little bit due to the width of the kayak but, I'm used to it now so, no problem. This is built very well and has quality throughout with plenty of room in the hull for storage. If your looking for a kayak that is a little bigger and stable, this is your kayak.Unknown
